Done Deal: Man Utd complete signing of highly-rated attacker from Atletico Madrid

Manchester United have reportedly finalised a deal to secure services of highly-rated teenage attacker Alejandro Garnacho from La Liga giants, Atletico Madrid.

The 16-year-old came through the ranks with Spanish heavyweights and had been playing with their U-19s side last campaign.

Atletico’s city rivals Real Madrid were also interested in order to lure him at Santiago Bernabeu, while Borussia Dortmund were believed to be keeping tabs on his progress too.

However, Marca reports that the Red Devils have won the race for Garnacho, who is expected to arrive in the English top-tier to officially finalise the deal later this week.

The starlet, who will have to quarantine for 14 days following his arrival, is reportedly set to put pen on a five-year deal at Old Trafford.

Garnacho is the third Spanish wonderkid to join the Red Devils this summer following the arrivals of 16-year-old Marc Jurado and 17-year-old Alvaro Fernandez from La Liga giants, Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively.

Meanwhile, Manchester United will allegedly not give up on Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho unless the Englishman publicly insists that he wants to stay at the Signal Iduna Park outfit.

The 20-year-old continues to be linked with a transfer to Old Trafford, although it is believed that United are struggling to come to an agreement with BVB over a transfer sum.

Sancho is allegedly keen on a move to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side but is not ready to hand in a transfer request in order to force a deal before the end of this summer’s transfer market.
