Manchester United will reportedly miss out on a deal for Italian playmaker Sandro Tonali during the summer transfer window as the Brescia star is set to join Inter Milan ahead of the 2020-21 season.
The 20-year-old, who is widely regarded as one of the most promising players in the Italian football, has been rumoured with a number of teams over the last few months.
The Red Devils were believed to be keen on a summer deal for the playmaker, however, according to CorSera, Inter Milan have won the race for his services ahead of next campaign.
The report suggests that Antonio Conte’s side will pay an initial €35m (£31m) for the Italy international midfielder, although the fee could rise due to his performance at the club.
The Merseyside Reds have also been rumoured with Tonali, while a report earlier this year suggested that Spanish giants had identified him as a player capable of becoming their new Andres Iniesta.
The defensive midfielder has managed to found back of the net once in 34 Serie A games during the 2019-20 season.
Manchester United also eyeing move for another Serie A star Nicolo Zaniolo who has impressed at AS Roma this season and has been tipped to sign for a bigger club ahead of the 2020/21 season.
