According to the Italian media outlets, Manchester United flop, Alexis Sanchez only moved to Inter Milan on loan from the Old Trafford at the end of August but already he is eyeing a permanent stay in Italy.
The 30-year-old agreed a season-long loan switch to Inter following a dismal 18-month spell at Old Trafford which saw him score only five goals in 45 appearances.
The Chile international is yet to play for his new club having been an unused substitute during their 2-1 win over Cagliari in their final fixture before the international break.
Although the South American star hasn’t even played a game for his new head coach Antonio Conte, he is already ‘dreaming’ of a permanent move to Italy, according to Corriere dello Sport.
United were keen to offload Sanchez permanently in the summer but were unable to find an interested party willing to cover his enormous wages, reportedly around £400,000 per week.
Instead, they decided to let him join Inter on loan and they will cover around three-quarters of his salary during his season-long stint in Italy. Alexis Sanchez has previous experience of living in Italy after enjoying a successful three-year stint with Udinese between 2008-2011.
