As per the reports, Manchester United have tabled an official bid for Juventus winger Douglas Costa.
The Brazil international has struggled for starts in Serie A this term, being used just three goals from the off in Juve’s first 17 games.
Despite 28-year-old Costa only joining the Serie A champions on a permanent basis from Bayern Munich earlier this year, the South American could be on his way out of the Allianz Stadium in the coming weeks.
According to Rai Sport, Man United have lodged a £54m bid ahead of the January transfer window as they are keen to strengthen out wide.
Costa’s last goal or assist came in May, having failed to register in 16 club outings this term.
The report indicates that Alexis Sanchez could exit Old Trafford if United – under the caretaker management of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer until next summer – are successful in their pursuit of Costa.
Meanwhile, Solskjaer is willing to sign Bournemouth attacker Josh King in the January transfer window.
Speaking at his unveiling, Solskjaer said he ‘will have an input’ in the upcoming January window and he is a huge admirer of countryman King.
The Norwegian striker has five goals in 15 Premier League matches this season, as well as laying on two assists, and is valued at around £25m by Bournemouth.
