Man Utd and Barcelona eyeing move for 22-year-old Watford ace

La Liga giants Barcelona could reportedly battle Manchester United for the services of Watford centre-back Pervis Estupinan during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old has joined the Hornets from LDU Quito back in 2016 but is yet to make a single appearance for the Premier League outfit and is currently on loan with Osasuna in Spain’s top flight.

The Ecuador international has been in impressive form in La Liga during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring once and providing four assists in 27 appearances.

Man United are allegedly interested in securing the services of the left-back during the upcoming summer transfer window, however, according to La Razon, Spanish giants, Barcelona are also weighing up a move.

The report suggests that the Spanish champions are planning to sell Junior Firpo ahead of the 2020-21 season and have identified Estupinan as the ideal player to provide back-up for Jordi Alba next season.

The South American is also believed to be of interest to Atletico Madrid.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have extended the loan spell of former Watford forwrd Odion Ighalo and he will remain at Old Trafford until January.
