Manchester United are reportedly set to once again head-to-head with their arch-rival Liverpool and Real Madrid for securing the services of Lille striker Victor Osimhen this summer.
The 21-year-old forward enjoyed a stellar season for the French outfits during the 2019-20 campaign, founding back of the net 13 times in 27 Ligue 1 appearences.
The Merseyside Reds have been rumoured with a move for the Nigeria international forward since the summer transfer window, and according to Le 10 Sport, the Red Devils have now joined the race to sign the talented forward from Lille.
The report suggests that the 20-times English champions are keen to strengthen their attacking options ahead of next campaign, and are scouting a number of targets should they fail to fail to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
It has recently been claimed that Osimhen’s compatriot Odion Ighalo could remain at Old Trafford on a permanent basis once his six-month loan spell expires, as the 20-times English champions reportedly face stiff competition from Los Blancos for Osimhen.
The Nigerian forward’s a current deal at Lille will run until the end of the 2023-24 campaign and Lille are demanding at least €100m for their star player, last summer they managed to sell Nicolas Pepe for £72m to Arsenal.
