Manchester Utd are reportedly locked in talks with Valencia over a potential summer deal for Spanish forward Ferran Torres.
The Spaniard has managed to found back of the net four times and provided five assists for the La Liga giants during the 2019-20 league season, however, Torres now has under a year left to run on his current contract with Valencia.
The Citizens are also believed to be leading the race for the 20-year-old’s services, however, Valencia’s valuation of Torres has supposedly hindered talks between the two teams.
According to the Daily Mail, the La Liga giants are holding out for a fee of £40m in spite of Spaniard’s current deal expiring at the end of next campaign.
The report suggests that Ferran Torres is hopeful of a deal being reached, however, Valencia are playing hardball and have also enquired about the possibility of Man City midfielder Yangel Herrera, who spent the 2019-20 season on loan at Granada, being included as part of a deal.
Manchester United keeping close tabs on Ferran Torres developments surrounding his future and despite the fine form of Masson Greenwood and Anthony Martial the Red Devils are still interested to lure Spanish winger at Old Trafford next season.
