Manchester United could renew interest in signing of Lyon striker and rumoured Chelsea transfer target Moussa Dembele, according to the reports.
The 23-year-old forward has been a big hit in the French top-tier and has also previously shone at Fulham and Celtic.
According to L’Equipe, the 20-times English champions are keen on battling their bitter Premier League rivals Chelsea for Dembele’s services this summer.
This follows a recent report from the Sun claiming that the Blues were interested in Dembele and French club have slapped £60million price tag on his head, while Don Balon recently claimed Man Utd had cooled their interest in him to focus and the Blues were the clear frontrunners.
£60m could end up being a bargain for both these teams, who surely need to make addition to their offensive end.
The 20-times English champions have signed Odion Ighalo on loan this winter, however, will likely want a more reliable long-term option to provide competition with Marcus Rashford.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are expected to lose back-up forward Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi this summer transfer window, who have not been given too many chances by Frank Lampard this campaign and Tammy Abraham is expected to be the only option.
Dembele’s fine form for Lyon and reasonable reported price tag suggest he could be a perfect addition to either Man Utd or Chelsea.
