Arsenal and Manchester United are both reportedly interested in securing the services of Watford centre-back Christian Kabasele during the January transfer window.
The two Premier League heavyweights are believed to be in the market for a new defender having both struggled with injuries in that area of the field this campaign.
According to le10sport, the Hornets, Kabasele has emerged as a top transfer target for both Premier League giants having developed into a dependable performer for Nigel Pearson’s side.
The 28-year-old is believed to be closing in on a contract extension at Vicarage Road as his current deal set to end in the summer after the season ends.
However, the report suggested that both Arsenal and Man Utd are keeping close tabs on developments with the pair considering offers before the end of the January transfer window.
Kabasele, who has also been rumoured with Newcastle United and West Ham United, has been capped on two occasions by the Belgium national squad.
This campaign, he has managed to make two assists in 16 games for the Hornets in all competitions, however, missed Sunday’s 3-0 victory over Bournemouth through suspension.
Meanwhile, Manchester United eyeing a move for another Premier League defender Caglar Soyuncu who has been in stunning form for Leicester City.
