Premier League outfits Leicester City midfielder James Maddison is reportedly not expecting to make a move to Manchester United this January transfer window despite strong interest from the Old Trafford club.
England international midfielder has been in top form as the Foxes have climbed to second in the English top-tier and is believed to have attracted interest from a number of teams.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils are unlikely to make an approach this month and former Norwich City midfielder is not expecting to depart from Leicester City’s mid-season.
The reports adds that the 20-times English champions are huge admirers of the ex-Norwich City midfielder and view him as a prime target, however, Maddison will likely make a decision about his future this summer.
The Red Devils have been short in midfield this campaign with Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay both suffering with injuries, while Serbian midfielder Nemanja Matic has been out of favour.
Maddison, meanwhile, has managed to found back of the net six times in 20 Premier League games and made his England debut back in 2019.
Meanwhile, Manchester United starlet Tahith Chong has been reportedly offered £35,000 per week salary in order to finalise a move to defending Serie A champions, Juventus.
The Dutch winger, who moved to the 20-times English champions back in 2016, only has six months left on his current deal and there are no indications to suggest that a deal will be signed soon.
