Borussia Dortmund are reportedly prepared to offer their star player Jadon Sancho a lucrative new deal if Manchester United fail to meet the Bundesliga outfit’s £108m asking price for English winger.
The protracted transfer saga surrounding English forward looks set to go on for a little while longer, with the Red Devils supposedly reluctant to fork out £108m for the key player.
The ex-Manchester City forward had reportedly agreed on personal terms with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, however, the Red Devils and Dortmund are still believed to be a long way off agreeing on a fee for talented forward.
As a result, German outlet Bild reports that Dortmund will table an improved contract offer for the former Man City forward if United refuse to pay £108m asking price by next week.
The report suggests that Sancho’s yearly earnings will increase from €6m (£5.4m) to €10m (£9m) at the Signal Iduna Park, although that is still considerably less than the £340,000 per week offer that the Red Devils have supposedly tabled.
The forward existing contract with Dortmund is set to expire at the end of the 2021-22 campaign.
Manchester United linked with a move for another English talent Jack Grealish who could be available for the half of Jadon Sancho’s price.
