Manchester United are reportedly confident of finalising the signing of Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho this summer, despite facing competition from their bitter Premier League rivals Chelsea.
A host of top teams have been rumoured with a move for the in-form 19-year-old forward, however, recent reports have claimed that the Red Devils and the Blues are now frontrunners to lure him away from Signal Iduna Park.
The 20-times English champions are in the market for attacking reinforcements as they have signed Odion Ighalo for a six-month loan spell this winter, departures of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez has Ole Gunnar Solslkjaer to be short up front, while the Blues are keen to secure the services of a new forward with the futures of Pedro and Willian has been uncertain.
Borussia Dortmund are reluctant to sell one of their star assets, however, The Mirror claims that they are increasingly resigned to losing him this summer and hope to receive a huge transfer fee for his services.
Sancho is expected to make a return to the Premier League and fee of up to £120m seems to be enough to convince Dortmund to sell him, and the report suggests that Chelsea and Man Utd are frontrunners for his services. However, the latest one are confident that they will win the race and bring English forward at Old Trafford.
Sancho played for Man Utd arch-rivals Manchester City before joining Dortmund for £8m back in 2017, since when he has found back of the net 29 times and provided 40 assists in just 84 first-team games for the club.
The teenager has been in the stunning form again this season, directly contributing to 32 goals in 29 games across all competitions for German giants.
