Paul Pogba is allegedly stalling on signing a new deal with Manchester United as he waits to learn whether Serie A giants Juventus will be moving for him in next summer’s transfer market.
The France international won’t be leaving Old Trafford over the next month and his entourage Mino Raiola recently claimed that talks over a fresh deal with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side would soon begin.
However, according to Tuttosport, Paul is still eager to return to Bianconeri and is therefore stalling on penning new terms with the 20-time English champions.
The 2018 World Cup winner left the Red Devils for Juve in 2012 and won four Serie A titles and two Coppa Italia crowns with Juventus before securing a return to the Premier League heavyweights.
The 27-year-old’s current deal with Ole’s team is due to expire next summer, although the club do have the option of triggering an additional 12 months if they cannot agree a fresh contract.
Pogba had his injury problems during the 2019-20 term but was a key player for United in the latter stages of the campaign as they secured third in the PL and reached the UEL semi-finals.
Meantime, Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho has refused to comment on speculation that he could be signing for Manchester United during this summer’s transfer window.
“No, the media’s the media. They’re always going to try and create a story, but this is how you manage it,” Jadon told SoccerBible.
“For me, I just focus on my football. I just want to do what’s best for my team and win titles at the end of the day.”
