Manchester United could reportedly attempt to beat their rivals Chelsea and secure services of Porto defender Alex Telles to Old Trafford during the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old full-back has been in fine form for his Portuguese team during the 2019-20 season, founding back of the net 13 times and providing 12 assists in 47 games in all competitions.
Manchester City and Chelsea have recently been rumoured with the Brazil international, however, according to Record, the Red Devils have joined the race as Ole Gunnar Solskajer plans to sign Luke Shaw’s replacement this summer.
The report suggests that ‘everything indicates’ that Porto defender will be on the move this summer, and the Red Devils have a ‘special interest’ in the South American full-back.
The 27-year-old prolific defender could allegedly be available for as little as €25m (£22.8m) as his current deal at the Estadio do Dragao is set to end in June 2021.
Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams have shared the left-back spot at United this season, but Alex Telles would be a huge update.
Chelsea also planning a move for Alex Telle’s teammate Jesus Corona who has been also in a stunning form providing 17-assists for Portuguese giants this term.
