Man Utd ready involve first-team star in a swap deal for 25-year-old Portuguese midfielder

Manchester United are reportedly on the verge to agree on a deal for Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes after launching multiple proposals for the 25-year-old star.

Sporting Lisbon continues to seek the best offer for their star player, who has been tracked by the 20-times English champions since before last summer.

The 25-year-old midfielder is keen on moving to Old Trafford but it’s likely Reds player will be heading in the opposite direction as part of the player-plus-cash deal.

According to A Bola newspaper, some of the proposals offered by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side – and talented midfielder Andreas Pereira is the man Sporting reportedly want.

The Portuguese publication say the Brazilian moving in the opposite direction as part of the deal is the option that excites the Lisbon club the most.

Brazilian midfielder Pereira could refuse to join Sporting, which would send the Red Devils back to the drawing board.

As well as the midfielder, Joel Pereira and Angel Gomes have reportedly been offered as makeweights in any deal for Bruno Fernandes.

A Bola reports the deal could be finalised within one week.

However, Sporting want Portuguese midfielder available for Friday’s key game against Benfica.

One of Fernandes’ two agents, Rui Guimaraes, took to Social medial on Tuesday, sharing a post by football stats account WhoScored to their own personal story.

Fernades has been in stunning form for the last two years for Sporting and would be a perfect midfield partner for Paul Pogba.
