Ole Gunnar Solskjaer desperate to sign international no.10 midfielder

Manchester United are reportedly planning to go all out to secure services of Denmark International midfielder Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur by offering to triple his current wages at White Hart Lane.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been reluctant to do business with their direct Premier League rivals for the Danish midfielder, having already supposedly knocked back the European Champions, Real Madrid approach.

Eriksen is also high on the wishlist of Man United’s head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, though, and The Mirror reports that the Red Devils intend to splash the money at the 27-year-old in order to lure him at Old Trafford ahead of Real Madrid.

The Spurs stance on Eriksen may alter as the summer goes on as he does not look likely to put pen on a new deal, meaning that he will become a free agent in 2021.

The report claims that the Red Devils will pay the ex-Ajax playmaker £240,000 a week if he decides to switch White Hart Lane for Old Trafford, though they still have plenty of work to do in negotiations with Tottenham Hotspur CEO Daniel Levy.

Eriksen, who currently earns £80,000 a week, is also believed to be a top transfer target for Serie A giants Inter Milan as they are trying to build a team capable to challenge Juventus for the title next season.
