PSV star Hirving Lozano is stalling over a move to Napoli because he would rather join Manchester United – but agent Mino Raiola is urging him to forget about the Red Devils.
Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti has made the Mexican winger his top target this summer and the Serie A side are believed to have made an offer worth €45million (£40m) including bonuses. PSV are happy with the package, but Il Roma report that Lozano is holding up the move – much to the annoyance of Raiola.
The super-agent has been speaking directly to both Ancelotti and Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis and fears the ‘stubborn’ winger has his heart set on a move to United.
Although the Red Devils have only shown a fleeting interest in Lozano in the past, he is prepared to delay the move to Napoli just in case they come in for him at the last moment.
But Raiola does not believe United will make an offer and wants Lozano to forget about joining the Red Devils. Instead, he has told the 23-year-old to make a choice between either Napoli or Paris Saint-Germain, with the French side making a late approach of their own.
While Napoli have only offered a £2.2m-a-year salary, PSG are prepared to offer Lozano a package worth £3.5m-a-year – and Raiola would prefer him to take the bigger deal.
Lozano scored 17 goals for PSV in the Eredivisie last season, as well as laying on eight assists, and Raiola is keen to push through a transfer quickly this summer – though the Mexican is still yet to make up his mind over his next club.
