Turkish heavyweights declare interest in signing £47m Man United man

Galatasaray are reportedly keen on signing Manchester United’s Fred during this summer’s transfer window.

The 27-year-old star was a regular for the Red Devils during the 2019-20 term, contributing two goals and four assists in 48 matches in all competitions.

The Brazilian is behind Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic in the pecking order at Old Trafford, though, and didn’t play in any of the club’s final three Premier League matches of the 2019-20 season.

According to Fotomac, Galatasaray want to improve their midfield this summer and have pinpointed Fred as a potential arrival in the current market.

The report states that the Turkish giants are interested in a permanent deal but could also submit a loan offer to the 20-time English champions.

The former Shakhtar Donetsk man still has three years left to run on his current deal with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

In the meantime, Manchester United have contacted Brescia over landing £31million-rated star Sandro Tonali.

The 20-year-old ace is regarded as one of the hottest young talents in Europe after his performances last term in Serie A.

Now Corriere dello Sport claims those showings have attracted the Red Devils to launch a move for Sandro, who has been compared to Italian midfield legend and Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo.

And they state United have already held negotiations with Serie A side regarding a potential deal for Tonali this summer.

They have made landing Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho’s their top priority but Ole is also keen to strengthen elsewhere in midfield.
